    First, let me say I have read this several times now; and I am captivated by the august and classical level of language. Absolutely beautiful and the reading only underscores that. I think you capture that journey the human being takes when venturing forth with all the opposing forces that come with it: temptation, hardship, greed, deception ambition and painful struggle. Not only physically on a ship to somewhere else but also within the state of the human condition. From what I have read of Thomas Edward Wright, he advocated for penal reform and went against the system, the status quo. That allows involves bravery as well as great risk.
