Advance Man

I want to be there

hovering, heady, buoyant,

every time you unpack a bag,

matching every move,

anticipating turns,

missteps,

filling the voids

of undetermined thresh-holds

with levity, cool breezes,

fluffed pillows with mints,

glycerined waters,

friendly mirrors,

tasting the salt

of future ocean views,

folding the chutes,

chilling the wines,

with joyous bubbles

lighter than air.

  1. Craig,

This one soars! It (to steal your word) is buoyant!
Its energy, its sound, its aura delights. It is the
perfect combination of elegance and innocence!

  2. Hi Craig

    Like Sarah,

I love the steadfast and buoyant sense of energy in this poem, the partner wanting to be there to fill in the voids and redirect the mistteps. I feel this sense of delight in being alive and wanting to share that with some one special. These images are joyously beautiful —

    , cool breezes,

    fluffed pillows with mints,

    glycerined waters,

    friendly mirrors,

    tasting the salt

    of future ocean views,

    folding the chutes,

    chilling the wines,

    with joyous bubbles

    lighter than air.

    Thank you for sharing,
    a real pleasure to read!!

    My best
