The Unexpected Move

Chess knight
leaps and prances
from corner to corner,
never straight or diagonal,
in its move; no head-on charges,
sweep round and swoop down on
an exposed flank
to win.

  1. Hi Michael

A clever and cool poem that does describe that “unexpected move”. So often in life, we either use that move to our advantage in the case of certain situations and sometimes Fate, itself, uses that move to throw us off kilter and challenge the human condition. I enjoyed this with well crafted language and pace.

    Thanks for sharing
