Like dandelion seeds
blown from a bloom,
caught and carried
by a rising breeze,
we often don’t see
results of the wishes
(Get better, soon!)
(Please have courage!)
(I’m praying for you!)
(Things will improve!)
we gently, hopefully send.

We must be content
knowing we sent them,
willing them away
to take root and grow
in a receptive heart.

Thank you Sarah. Sometimes, when you’re trying to be supportive and encouraging, all you can do is put yourself out there for them. After all, none of those statements in the poem is a command.
