A Heart’s Love

When springtime calls,
I willingly attend
to wondrous wooings—
light breezes rush to brush my face
with 1,000 invisible kisses.
Oh, kiss me again, warm winds.

Overnight buds suddenly unfold in bloom.
Delicate petals rise and fall in warm winds.
Winged-flight birdsong bounces in air;
fine-feathered friends dare not miss
a time such as this, a season’s debut,
a time when colors color all the grays.

When springtime calls, my heart echoes
deep admiration. Oh, welcome, Spring,
a time when colors color all the grays.
My hand gently nears my heart .
I feel the extra beats. Oh, welcome, Spring.
Can this heart of mine be cheering?

The new season is nearing.
Winter’s stronghold soon releases.
How my heart echoes deep admiration.
I feel gratitude, 1,000 thank-yous for Spring.
Warm winds, my face tilts for the next kiss.
My heart, cheers for such a time. Oh, Spring.
