Rage
Stinging
like an open-handed slap
you speak your insanity
leaving faces flushed,
marked by your hand
No one suspected
the twistings of your mind
No one could understand
your meaningless words
No one expected
so wrathful a whirlwind
as your misguided musings
Now you stand,
lost in a tweet,
knee-deep in your own mud
I’m trying to make sure I let everybody know I am missing in action from this site until
minor health issues clear up. That’s why I do not reply .
Yesterday I replied to everyone who posted, and since you couldn’t post because you
were busy (at my request) showing me what worked and what didn’t, I wanted to reply
to you today with a huge thumbs up for you poem and a grateful thank you for your help.

It’s not clear what causes the flash of anger, but clearly it is an unexpected response in the situation; not only for the person or persons on the receiving end, but for the speaker as well. The title as well as the ending shows well the aftermath of such an outburst. Good work.

Hi Gene
You certainly capture a vivid and electrifying portrait of rage. The fine choice words and phrasing create atmosphere and allow the reader to feel this strong, visceral energy rising out of the swamp.
