Sherry’s Laughter

Sherry’s laughter is contagious.
Negative thoughts I have are outrageous.

She laughs when she says her chemo is over for now.
She laughs with her arms in outward stretch toward sky
when she tells how she really feels okay on this day.

Today, a ninety-five degrees day, at our outdoor picnic,
she says her wig sure is hot as the sun is bearing down.

Look at her. Listen to that laughter. Look at that grin.

On her face is happiness. There’s her laugh; there it goes again.
She’s grateful to be here, so very happy to share the day she’s in.

Sherry’s laughter is contagious.
Negative thoughts I have are outrageous.
