Window Watching

Two young children stood still
by a window to watch heavy rain.

One spoke sympathetically,
“Ooh, I feel sorry for the person
who has to walk home today.
What will they do in all this?”

The other seriously exclaimed,
“Oh, no, let’s worry about God.
Look how much He’s crying.”

  1. Jan,

You are on a roll. Keep it up, and we’ll be reading
The Tao of Jan. This poem is one of those instants
of perfection. Its brevity makes it all the more powerful.

  2. I agree, Jan.
Much for him to cry about.
Usually something us humans have done, unfortunately.

    Enjoyed reading.
    take care,
