1. Happy Valentine’s Day to you, Sarah!

We’re celebrating Friendship Day in our 2nd grade classroom. (The kiddos get as excited about this celebration as they do about Christmastime–the gifts we share today are special cards & written notes.) These days we are enjoying the wonderful book, Charlotte’s Web, and immersing ourselves in the characters in that memorable story. Yesterday PM some beautiful red tulips were delivered to my classroom door. (a gift from one of my students & his parent) Last evening after returning from our school’s APT meeting, my husband had ‘a favorite o’ mine’ waiting—a delicious chocolate milkshake. Oh, don’t we all know it’s the little things? Truly those lil’ things find a big place in the heart. You, my friend, have a great day.

  2. Jan,

I can picture those beautiful tulips and the milkshake sounds great.

Friendship Day is a beautiful concept. Wishing you a spectacular day AND

Happy Valentines Day to you and yours, and to all those lucky 2nd Graders
who spend their days with you.
