Passing Understanding

The heart of hate beats heavy to destroy.
Its energy circulates through a network of voices
strengthened by fear and anger,
voices with assumed power.
The voice of the heart of hate calls to collect.

Tiny voices rose with the martyred,
their lives testimony to One Truth
voiced by the Nine, the hundreds after
More to come.

The voice of Hate is loud.
The voice of Love, louder,
jolts a sudden message
softly settles in an open heart.
Like honey, covers the wound;
Like honey, heals over time.

The voice of hate sits in a cell,
didn’t die as some do after,
Has no voice now.

The heart of hate has no voice
strong enough to shatter
Spirit of Love
passing all understanding.

  1. So true.
And thank goodness the voice of love is, indeed, louder.
I am heart-sickened by some of what is going on
right now as far as the hate
that some are trying to spread.

    Much enjoyed reading.
    take care,

  2. Ptc,

“The heart of hate has no voice
    strong enough to shatter
    Spirit of Love
    passing all understanding.”

You remind that we are the ones who can make the difference.
There is no they, it is us with love in our hearts who will make the
world better. This is a poem of peace, a poem of love, a poem
    of hope.

    Thank you!
