• Jan,

I had read an article in a science journal about archipelagos and it made me
think of our family of Pubsters, and then of our world family. It occurred to me
that it is true that no man (or woman) is an island, but it is also true that every
man, woman, and child is part archipelago, and thus this poem was born. My thanks
      to you for your response.

  1. This is moving Sarah and brought to mind Rich’s bridge poem. We are ‘bound together with cords that cannot be broken’ like a favourite hymn asks.

  2. Sarah, thank you for the hope I see and feel in this poem. “in the great tsunamis we hold hands.” We have seen the handholding, the tears, the flowers left, the comforting notes, the display of love.
