Where is my poem today?
It has hushed in life’s rush.
I search on high wires
of my observing heart.
Nothing perches there.
But, wait. I look again.
I see your names
acquainting me
with the familiar.
All of you have
gathered like birds
on a single wire,
an unwavering one.
I hear echoes of family in
believers’ gentle cries.
Amen.
Amen again.
It’s time,
time to fly,
time to rise.
Jan,
An anthem for sure. Not only do you touch our hearts, you touch our souls.
How beautiful it is to be commenting on your work here in our new home.
BTW, every time I see that sunflower, I feel the warmth of the gentle sun.
Thank you
Sarah

Sarah,
It’s nice to be here. I’m slowly figuring things out. We learn by doing for sure.
Thanks for your feedback with this on-the-spot writing.

Hello, Craig,
Welcome to our new place, our Peaceful Pub, on the web. I hope you’re settling in here with ease. I’m learning as I go with this blogging experience. It’s all so new. Thanks for reading & commenting here. (Has anyone seen Rich? He’d better find us.) Take care.

So uplifting to read this tonight, Jan.
Yes. Always seek the rising that is just around the corner
if we are patient and don’t lose faith.
take care,

And yes, the poem is in what we often see or whom we know. The voices of those around us, love and community, their wisdom and their participation in life and the lives of others, is a prayer, it is a poem echoing faith and humanity.
thank you for this lovely verse,
much enjoyed,

Hi, Wendy!
It’s so nice to see you today. We’re all adjusting to a new writing home in its blog-style fashion. We’re still Pub-style as I see Sarah’s light-our-home touches. She even brought Bon Mots over here and a version of Light a Candle Because You Care. Yes! I’m looking forward to our writing interactions as we settle here. I’m glad we were able to move. I don’t like seeing the Pub forums emptying out over there. It puts a lump in my throat. What pleasant writing memories we had there. Also, moving to a new location creates a busy day. 🙂
